Early Roots and Education
Dr. Harris’s academic journey began with a foundation in the arts, earning a BA in Arts, which laid the groundwork for her creative thinking and adaptability. She then shifted gears toward a more structured field, obtaining an MBA in Project Management. This education honed her ability to strategize and deliver results, a skill she would carry into a career spanning decades. Eventually, she pursued and achieved a Doctorate in Business Strategy and Innovation, cementing her position as an expert in leading transformational change.
Her academic credentials were further elevated by her completion of one of Harvard’s most prestigious executive management programs at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, marking her as a leader prepared to navigate the complexities of business, policy, and governance at the highest levels.
Professional Milestones
Her 30-year career in Information Technology and 20 years in program management reflect a life spent mastering the art of innovation and execution. As a certified Project Management Professional, she thrived in leadership roles, including her time as a Director of All Vendor Banking Systems, Senior IT Program Manager, Senior Program Manager, PMO Officer and eventually rising to VP of Professional Development. Since 2020, she has served as the VP PMO, driving enterprise-level strategy and delivering results with precision.
Dr. Harris’s leadership style blends practicality with visionary thinking, helping organizations and teams navigate challenges and achieve success. Her talent for managing high-stakes, multimillion-dollar projects with constraints is rooted in personal values: Finding effective solutions, even in lean times.
A Heart for Service and Advocacy
Beyond her corporate achievements, Dr. Harris gives back to her community through her work with “Purses with Power,” a non-profit that delivers gift baskets to women and men in distressing life situations. This initiative showcases her compassionate leadership and belief in uplifting others, no matter their circumstances.
